Stokely Standiford Churchill Carmichael was a Civil Rights advocate who was key contributor to the Civil Rights Movement and the Pan-African Movement. His attributes towards Civil Rights includes being a leader in the development of the Black Power Movement. He also led the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. In his work for African American Civil Rights for African Americans and Africans around the world, in America, Stokely was also the Honorary Prime Minister of the Black Panther Party, then a leader of the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party. Stokely Carmichael also participated as an original member of the Freedom Riders of 1961 and was a strong advocate in acquiring voting rights for African Americans.
